Prince Harry Discusses the Importance of Mental Health Treatment While Meeting With Veterans

Prince Harry is well-known for his generosity and philanthropic efforts, and on Monday, the young royal paid a special visit to the Help For Heroes recovery center at Tedworth House in England. Harry met with former service members participating in the Hidden Wounds program, which supports those struggling with anxiety, PTSD, and other military-related issues. He also reflected on his experience serving in the military for 10 years and what helped him fully recover after leaving. "Getting back your mental health, mental well-being, your mental fitness is a really important thing," he explained. "A lot of civilians don't get it and actually it can be frowned upon sometimes, but to individuals like you, and the rest of them, without it you can't function at all — it's got to be part of the recovery process."

January is shaping up to be an exciting month for Harry. In addition to whisking girlfriend Meghan Markle away to see the Northern Lights in Norway, the two extended their vacation so they could enjoy "lazy days together" in London, and last week, Harry joined Prince William and Kate Middleton in announcing their plans for their Heads Together foundation. We can't wait to see what he has in store for us in the months to come!
