Ariana Madix Doesn't Believe the Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss Breakup Rumors: "I Don't Buy That"

Ariana Madix is setting the record straight. For months, Madix has been at the center of a tangled drama surrounding her split from fellow "Vanderpump Rules" star Tom Sandoval, who cheated on her with costar Raquel Leviss. Recently, rumors that Leviss and Sandoval have split have been making rounds, but Madix is making it clear that she's not convinced.

"I don't buy that at all," she told "Watch What Happens Live" host Andy Cohen on May 17, adding that Leviss "was sending letters to my house like four days ago." Madix also noted that while she and Sandoval aren't speaking at the moment, they do still live together — which is why she spotted a letter from Leviss in her mailbox. "I didn't open it. It was addressed to him and it was her handwriting," Madix explained, adding that she'd only seen one letter from Leviss arrive at their home, though it sounds like one was more than enough. "I just brought in the mail, saw it, put it on the table, and walked away."

That same day, though, a source told People that Sandoval and Leviss were never really together at all. "Tom and Raquel never put a label on their relationship to begin with," the insider said. "After their affair was exposed and the blowback they received, they said that before defining things, they needed to take time to address the issues in their own lives that drove them to this in the first place. And that's where things still are . . . There's no split because they were never a couple."

The two contrasting accounts come a day after the premiere of the "Vanderpump Rules" season 10 finale. The episode saw Madix and Sandoval clash over his affair, and afterward, Sandoval and Leviss confessed their love for one another. "I was just so curious to know what it would be like to be physical with someone that you love because I already knew I loved him as a friend and I've never had sex like that before," Leviss said during an aside. "I should have completely removed myself from the situation, but I did not have the willpower to not see him."

Rumors about Sandoval and Leviss's affair began to swirl in early March, when TMZ revealed that Madix and Sandoval had split after nine years together, claiming that the latter's affair with Leviss was the cause. Sandoval later addressed the affair, first issuing a public apology and later telling Howard Stern that he had been trying to break up with Madix prior to it happening. He claimed she was "completely in denial." Leviss also issued her own apology in March, writing in an Instagram post, "There is no excuse, I am not a victim and I must own my actions and I deeply regret hurting Ariana."

"Vanderpump Rules" season 10 might be over now but clearly there's more to the Madix, Sandoval, and Leviss saga. And, fortunately, more TV is on the way. A special reunion episode is set to air on May 24, meaning that we might get a little more clarity on what happened between the trio. Still, only time will tell where Sandoval and Leviss's relationship will go after starting on such a rocky note.
