Carrie Underwood Shares New Details About Her "Freak Accident" Last November

Carrie Underwood isn't done talking about the "freak accident" that left her with several stitches in her face. During a recent interview with Hoda Kotb for Today, the "Cry Pretty" singer revealed new details about the fall, which occurred last November. "Plain and simple, it was just kind of a freak accident," Carrie shared. "I just tripped taking my dogs out to do their business. It could happen to anybody."

"I say if I would have fallen anywhere else, it wouldn't have been a problem," Carrie continued. "There was one little step that I went to catch myself on and I missed." Initially, the 35-year-old worried how she would look following the surgery and chose not to show her face on social media for months. "I didn't know how things were going to end up. It just wasn't pretty."

Luckily for the proud mom of 3-year-old Isaiah, she says she has "a dedicated team of professionals who can spackle and paint and paste" to hide any blemishes she might have. "Every day I'm feeling a little more back to normal," Carrie told the Today host. Judging from the recent gorgeous close-up selfie the singer shared, we'd say Carrie never had anything to worry about.
