Chrissy Teigen Shares New Photo of Her Growing Baby Bump: "Just Be Huge Already!"

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are expecting another child together, and the former is getting antsy about her pregnancy. Teigen announced the big news on Aug. 3 via Instagram with a photo of her baby bump. "[T]he last few years have been a blur of emotions to say the least, but joy has filled our home and hearts again," she wrote in the caption. "1 billion shots later (in the leg lately, as u can see!) we have another on the way."

Teigen added: "Every appointment I've said to myself, 'ok if it's healthy today I'll announce' but then I breathe a sigh of relief to hear a heartbeat and decide I'm just too nervous still. I don't think I'll ever walk out of an appointment with more excitement than nerves but so far, everything is perfect and beautiful and I'm feeling hopeful and amazing."

On Aug. 14, Teigen shared a new update on her growing baby bump on Instagram. "[T]he in between stage is my least fun stage. [J]ust be huge already please !!!!" she captioned a mirror selfie. Teigen's progress report on her pregnancy comes shortly after she crashed her husband's recent Zoom interview. Legend said the two are both "very excited" about their child's arrival.

Legend and Teigen share two children together: their daughter, Luna, age 6, and son, Miles, 4. On Sept. 30, 2020, the latter shared that the couple lost their third baby, a boy named Jack, halfway through Teigen's pregnancy. She revealed the news in a heartbreaking Instagram post but also expressed gratitude for her two children and "all the amazing things" they've experienced together.

In an interview with BBC Radio 4, reported by The Guardian on Aug. 6, Legend opened up about why he was wary of the photos Teigen shared of their late son in her Instagram post. "I was hesitant to share it," he said, "but I think Chrissy was really right. Way more people than anybody realizes go through this and they think they are alone. It was a really powerful, wise decision by Chrissy to share it."

Last year, in People's Beautiful Issue, Teigen said losing Jack taught her "how strong physically and mentally a body can be. I've learned how strong I am." She added that being supported during that time helped her in her grief. "Seeing people rally around us has been really beautiful. There have been things in the past year that I never thought John would have to see, but it's also been so wonderful that we have prevailed and still see each other with so much more love than we could have ever, ever imagined ever in our lives," she told the outlet. "Whatever love we put out into the world 10 years ago, we're getting it back tenfold. I feel every piece of love from everybody around the world."
