Backstreet Boys Watch Teens React to Their Old Music Videos: "I Know Them Because of My Mom"

Following the release of a new music video and a fast-selling Las Vegas residency, the Backstreet Boys are proving their relevance two decades after their debut. That being said, present-day teenagers might not be as hip to the boy band that once dominated the '90s alongside *NSYNC. In a video for the FBE YouTube channel, the five founding members watched a video of teenagers watching their old music videos. It was both cringeworthy and delightful.

Though some of the young viewers had never seen or heard of the Backstreet Boys before, some of them were familiar . . . ish. "The only reason I know them is because of my mom," said one teen. After watching the group's classic videos, like "As Long as You Love Me" and "I Want It That Way," one teen astutely noted, "They have so many feelings."

The teens were then informed that it's been 20 years since Backstreet Boys's self-titled debut album in the US, prompting one to ask, "Do they still look good now?" Toward the end of the clip, the teens were asked to match the members's names — that's AJ McLean, Howie D., Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson and Brian Littrell — to their pictures. Yep, it's an absolute disaster. Watch it all go down above.
