The Entire Toy Story 4 Cast, From Old Favorites to Brand-New Characters
We recently received a gift in the form of the first official trailer for Toy Story 4, as well as a ton of character posters, which include glimpses of fan favorites like Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and Jessie. But what's even more exciting is that the new footage also features a few brand new characters, voiced by some of Hollywood's most comical actors. Keep reading to see who's returning, who's joined the cast, and everyone in between before the film hits theaters in Summer 2019!
Tom Hanks as Woody
The Post actor is returning to voice the lovable, heroic cowboy for the fourth time.
Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear
Tim Allen, who's currently starring in Last Man Standing, is reprising his role as Buzz Lightyear.
Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele as Ducky and Bunny
The Key and Peele duo will be starring as Ducky (Key) and Bunny (Peele), two toys that Woody and Buzz appear to meet at a carnival.
Tony Hale as Forky
Veep alum Tony Hale is on board as new character Forky, a spork-turned-craft-project who is adamant that he's not a toy, despite being grouped with the rest of the gang. According to director Josh Cooley, "The world of Toy Story is built upon the idea that everything in the world has a purpose. A toy's purpose is to be there for its child. But what about toys that are made out of other objects? Forky is a toy that Bonnie made out of a disposable spork, so he's facing a crisis."
Joan Cusack as Jessie
The plucky cowgirl will once again be voiced by Joan Cusack.
Annie Potts as Bo Peep
When Toy Story 4 was first announced, it was rumored that Woody and Bo Peep's love story would be at the forefront of the plot. Although that seems to have changed, we hope Annie Potts's character still gets a meatier role!
Blake Clark as Slinky Dog
Blake Clark's gravelly voice is perfect for Slinky Dog, no? Luckily he's coming back, too.
Laurie Metcalf as Mrs. Davis
Laurie Metcalf is taking a quick break from The Conners to step back into the shoes of Mrs. Davis.
Estelle Harris as Mrs. Potato Head
Who else could ever voice Mrs. Potato Head?! Estelle Harris's iconic vocals will return to dole out some serious sass in the playroom.
Kristen Schaal as Trixie
After lending her voice to everything from Bob's Burgers to Adventure Time, the actress is returning to play Trixie, a lovable blue triceratops.
Jeff Garlin as Buttercup
Has there ever been a more surprising combination of voice and character than Jeff Garlin's Buttercup?
Bonnie Hunt as Dolly
If Dolly is your favorite toy, never fear: Escape at Dannemora actress Bonnie Hunt is back to voice her.
Keanu Reeves as Duke Caboom
Keanu Reeves is playing Canadian toy Duke Caboom, who is an action figure from the 1970s. "Riding his powerful Caboom stunt-cycle, Duke is always prepared to show off his stunt poses with confidence and swagger. However, Woody learns quickly that Duke has an Achilles heel: He has never been able to do the awesome stunts advertised in his own toy commercial," Disney's official description of the character reads. "For years, Duke has been sitting in an antique store, constantly reliving the failures of his tragic past."
Christina Hendricks as Gabby Gabby
Good Girls star Christina Hendricks is stepping into the role of Toy Story 4's most chilling character: Gabby Gabby, a pull-string doll from the '50s who resides in an antique shop and has a silent ventriloquist dummy henchmen. "It became obvious right away that Christina was the perfect actress to play Gabby Gabby," director Josh Cooley told Disney. "She has the ability to sound inviting and friendly, then subtly become cold and terrifying in just a few words. It still gives me chills when I see Gabby's introduction in the film. Also, Christina told me that she preferred playing with ventriloquist dummies over dolls as a kid. That's when I knew it was meant to be."
