1 Superhero Is Poised to Explore Their Sexuality on The CW Next Season

During Thursday's Television Critics Association press tour, we got a surprising new update about the growing cast of superheroes on The CW. At one point during a panel, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg revealed that one of the shows' characters would come out as gay in the upcoming season. "One of the characters on one of the shows is going to be exploring their sexuality and coming out," he said. "We're very excited about that." To pique interest even further, executive producer Greg Berlanti teased the development as well: "It is a significant character . . . The only reason we wouldn't [say] is we really want the audience to enjoy the character developments and not necessarily be ahead of the storyline."

In case you're not fully aware, there are four superhero-centric shows airing on the network to date: the endlessly badass Supergirl, Arrow, The Flash, and DC's Legends of Tomorrow. Given the fact that The CW also just announced a musical crossover between The Flash and Supergirl, it looks like things are poised to get pretty crazy in the TV superhero world . . . but in the best way.
