There's a Reason the Actress Behind Pocahontas Looks So Much Like Her Character

Can you believe it has been 22 years since Walt Disney Pictures gifted us with the animated film Pocahontas? Neither can we, and it's honestly making us super nostalgic. While we still remember every single word to "Colors of the Wind," most fans probably don't know who voiced the original character. Well, plot twist: it was actually two people. While Tony-nominee Judy Kuhn lent her singing voice for the role, Irene Bedard was the main inspiration behind the Disney princess. Not only did the Native American actress voice Pocahontas, but she was also the physical model for the character. And the Disney magic doesn't end there. Bedard, along with several other princesses, will star in the upcoming the Wreck-It Ralph sequel in March 2018.
