It's Official! The X-Files Will Return as a Limited Series

"Mulder, it's me," tweeted Gillian Anderson this week. "Are you ready?" The actress was winking to fans, because The X-Files is officially being revived. The sci-fi show, which ran from 1993 to 2002 and inspired two films, will return to Fox for a six-part limited series. Both stars Anderson and David Duchovny are on board to reprise their roles as FBI special agents Scully and Mulder. Production will begin this Summer, and a premiere date will be announced later. "I think of it as a 13-year commercial break," said series creator/executive producer Chris Carter, who is also returning for the revival. Stay tuned for more details, and until then, the truth is out there.
