Adele Promises to Perform 4 New Songs During Her Concert Special, and We Can't Wait

Adele is officially back! The "Easy on Me" singer announced a forthcoming two-hour special on CBS and Paramount+ titled Adele One Night Only, in which she'll perform songs from her new 30 album, as well as some classic hits. The concert will be accompanied by an interview with Oprah Winfrey, in which Adele will discuss the meanings behind some of her new songs; her divorce from Simon Konecki; parenting their son, Angelo; and her weight loss, according to the network. The special airs on Sunday, Nov. 14.

In an exclusive preview shared with Entertainment Weekly, the Grammy-winning artist says that fans can expect to "hear a lot of older songs, and then four new songs." The clip then shows Adele performing "Rolling in the Deep" and "Easy on Me" during the concert special, which was pretaped at Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles. Additionally, Adele tells Winfrey that she'll be showing off her comedic side with "a load of filthy jokes" sprinkled throughout. I really wouldn't miss this if I were you!

Released on Oct. 15, "Easy on Me," the debut single from 30, soared to the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100. In the emotional ballad, the singer asks for forgiveness and empathy, but it's unclear as to whether she's asking for forgiveness and empathy from Simon or Angelo. In a recent interview with Vogue, Adele said she hopes her son will understand the decision to divorce after listening to 30 as he gets older. Perhaps we'll get answers to all these burning questions during her Oprah sit-down. But wait, there's more! Adele recently shared a preview of the song "Hold On" in a holiday ad for Amazon — fingers crossed that she'll perform it during her CBS special. Adele's long-awaited 30 album drops on Nov. 19.
