Every Single Cover Harry Styles Has Performed — Ranked From Simply Awesome to Unforgettable

Anyone in the Harry Styles fandom who knows anything will already know which of his covers I've selected as the best. I'm nothing if not loyal to my favorites. However, that's not to say every single cover Styles has performed hasn't been great. Every time he gets on a stage with Stevie Nicks is purely magical, but you may not be aware of the other killer cover songs he's performed since being a solo artist. In the gallery ahead, you can listen to 13 covers, ranging from Kanye West to Shania Twain. I put them in order of my preference, from truly amazing to absolutely unbelievable, because yes, I obviously love them all.

Harry Styles Covers Ariana Grande's "Just a Little Bit of Your Heart"

Styles actually wrote this song and Ariana Grande was the one who ended up recording it. I like the sentiment of the song, but in general, I don't like slow jams much, so I'd be fine if we left this cover in Harry Styles Live on Tour (circa 2017/2018) and moved forward without it.

Harry Styles Covers Kanye West's "Ultralight Beam"

Listen. Styles sounds great on this song. I will never deny him that. Maybe I'm bitter that I never saw this live, or maybe I'm just bored by the song in general, but it's low on my list of favorites.

Harry Styles Covers Rihanna's "Wild Thoughts"

This cover that Styles recorded in the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge just kinda happened and then we all moved on from it. Maybe it's because we never heard this cover again that it just doesn't stick in my head, but as much as I love to hear Styles sing Rihanna, this one is on the lower end of my faves.

Harry Styles Covers One Direction's "Story of My Life"

I love to hear Styles throw it back to his roots and sing One Direction. Of the songs he's covered, this one is my third favorite, mostly because I didn't even love it as a One Direction song. However, I do love the new arrangement of this particular song and the energy in the room during it.

Harry Styles Covers Stevie Nicks and Tom Petty's "Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around" With Stevie Nicks

It's always fun to see Styles on stage with Nicks. Seeing him step in for a legend like Petty? Pretty damn awesome, though this isn't one of my favorites of his performances with Nicks. We'll get there . . .

Harry Styles Covers One Direction's "Stockholm Syndrome"

Styles really put some gusto in his new version of this One Direction hit. It still stays fairly true to the original but with Styles's own flair, which makes it quite fun live.

Harry Styles Covers Stevie Nicks and Don Henley's "Leather and Lace" With Stevie Nicks

Oh hey, it's Styles and Nicks again. The thing is, Styles always sounds pretty much flawless, but when he performs with Nicks, it's like on a whole other level. I love this duet because it comes through in the performance how important it is to him.

Harry Styles Covers One Direction's "If I Could Fly"

What I love about this song and his cover of it is that it's a beautifully written song that's performed so quietly. On his solo tour, Styles stripped this song down to really show off the melody and the beautiful lyrics, which is why I love it.

Harry Styles Covers Little Big Town's "Girl Crush"

Styles has only done this cover a few times, and while I loved it live in Los Angeles on the last night of his last tour, I want to talk about when he did it for the first time in Tokyo the year before. This man really climbed up the side of the venue and sang this song with his guitar and no microphone, and lives were changed.

Harry Styles Covers Fleetwood Mac's "The Chain"

This cover has become so vital to Styles's concerts that there are times when I forget it's not a song of his own. There are few things I love more in this world than how much of himself he puts into this song.

Harry Styles Covers Shania Twain's "You’re Still the One" With Kacey Musgraves

I am 99 percent sure I cried at Madison Square Garden when this performance happened, and I 100 percent cried just now while watching it again. I've been a Twain fan for years, and Styles singing this song with Musgraves is maybe one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard in my life.

Harry Styles Covers Fleetwood Mac's "Landslide" With Stevie Nicks

I'm going to start with a terrible confession: I don't actually like the song "Landslide." I'm SORRY. It's a fine song but I could take it or leave it. However, "Landslide" with Stevie Nicks and Styles together on a stage is a whole new concept. Style is a massive fan of Fleetwood Mac and Nicks in particular, so seeing him share a small stage with her, singing this iconic song, practically destroyed my heart in the best way. I'm not kidding when I say that when Styles teared up at the end, I did as well.

Harry Styles Covers One Direction's "What Makes You Beautiful"

I will go down fighting for this song until the end of my days. Yes, it's cheesy, yes, it's "old" now, and no, Harry didn't have any part in writing it, but I love it for a couple reasons. First of all, I love that this is the start of One Direction. It was their first hit single, so it's important to Styles's history. Second of all, it's a fun song. I love a bop, and this is a bop. And lastly, Styles's modern arrangement of the song made it more his style and that much better, and for that, this is my favorite cover he's ever done.
