Lizzo and SZA Team Up For a Remix of "Special"

Lizzo's "Special" album arrived on July 15, 2022, and its lead single, "About Damn Time," went on to become her second No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 (after her infectious choreography went viral on TikTok). Ultimately, the song would win the award for record of the year at the 2023 Grammys on Feb. 5, but it's Lizzo's track "Special," the uplifting track she sang at the ceremony, that's in the spotlight post-Grammys.

Four days after performing the emotional title track at music's biggest night of the year, Lizzo released a remix of the song with her friend and fellow Grammy winner, SZA. The "Kill Bill" singer, whose "SOS" album went immediately to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 upon its release on Dec. 9, 2022, and has been chilling within the top three spots ever since, adds another layer to the already beautiful song with her airy and lilting vocals.
