There's Some Seriously Crazy Stuff Going On in Ryan Gosling's Directorial Debut

We love some Ryan Gosling in front of the camera, but is he just as talented behind the lens? You can decide for yourself now that the trailer for his directorial debut, Lost River, is here. Eva Mendes, Christina Hendricks, Saoirse Ronan, Ben Mendelsohn, and Matt Smith all star in the surreal-looking tale of a teenager (Iain De Caestecker) stuck in a town that is literally decaying. The movie debuted at Cannes and borrows a lot from the films Gosling has appeared in — down to the '80s-inspired soundtrack and a blow-up doll — but this trailer truly is something else. There's a bicycle on fire, Mendes is performing some kind of bizarre show, and there are legitimate underwater towns. The movie will be in theaters and on demand on April 10.
