Madonna Pays Tribute to the Late David Bowie With an Awesome Cover of "Rebel Rebel"
Madonna paid tribute to the late David Bowie during her Rebel Heart concert in Houston on Tuesday night. The singer, who belted out a cover of Bowie's 1974 hit "Rebel Rebel," first told the crowd, "I want to pay tribute to a man who inspired my career," adding, "If you haven't heard about David Bowie, then look him up, mother f*ckers." She then spoke heartfelt words about how much he influenced her, saying, "He was one of the geniuses in the music industry, one of the greatest singer-songwriters of the 20th century, and he changed my life. He showed me that it was OK to be different, and he's the first rebel heart that I laid eyes on."
Madonna was just one of the many musicians who shared a message of grief via social media after David Bowie's death was announced on Sunday. She tweeted, "I'm Devastated!
