What would you do if you had been told you couldn't take your date to prom? In Netflix's The Prom, high school student Emma Nolan barely has time to process the PTA banning her from attending with her girlfriend when four down-on-their-luck Broadway stars come to town in the hopes of turning things around. The group is initially there as a publicity stunt, but when it backfires, they rally around Emma to give her a night she won't forget. With a trailer full of all the glitz and glam you can expect from a Ryan Murphy adaptation, the film promises to tug at your heartstrings and bring you back to your own thrilling days of yesteryear as Emma and the gang work to make her one and only wish come true.

Based on the Broadway musical of the same name, the Netflix adaptation stars Meryl Streep as Dee Dee Allen, James Corden as Barry Glickman, Nicole Kidman as Angie, Andrew Rannells as Trent, Jo Ellen Pellman as Emma Nolan, Ariana DeBose as Emma's girlfriend Alyssa, Kerry Washington as head of the PTA and mother of Emma's girlfriend Alyssa, and Keegan-Michael Key as the high school principal that's on Emma's side. And just in case you were wondering, we've already picked our outfits for the special night when the film premieres on Dec. 11!
