What I'm Listening to This Week: Kari Faux, Snoh Aalegra, and Lots of Lizzo

Welcome to What I'm Listening to This Week, a new feature in which we literally just tell you what we're listening to this week — and why you should slam the play button.

While I haven't quite come down from my Homecoming high (seriously, is there even anything else on Netflix right now?), you better believe I'm still weaving some new, non-Beyoncé tunes into my playlist. I'm in one of those moods where I want to Spring clean everything — my apartment, my wardrobe, and especially my attitude — which is why this week's lineup is brimming with bad-b*tch anthems. Scroll through and start listening!

Cry 4 Help EP by Kari Faux

Cry 4 Help EP by Kari Faux

The alt-R&B singer offers up moody tunes that you can groove to and cry to. If you're having a rough time, I can promise this 17-minute EP will turn things around.

Standout track: "Medicated" — because life can be a real roller coaster, and it's comforting to know that I'm not the only one on it.

"I Want You Around" by Snoh Aalegra

Nobody can compare to Amy Winehouse in my eyes, but Aalegra's throaty vocals and soulful, syrupy hooks do remind me of the late, great British songstress. Her latest single is a breezy ode to falling fast and hard that will have you longing for a Summer fling.

Cuz I Love You by Lizzo

Cuz I Love You by Lizzo

Can I just say how thrilled I am that Lizzo is finally getting the shine she deserves? Her third album and major label debut has been on repeat for me this week, thanks to its self-confident pop anthems and soul-inflected slow jams. One spin and you will feel ready to take on the world.

Standout track: "Soulmate" — because if you can't love yourself, how in the hell you gonna love somebody else, can I get an amen?!
