Here's the Unusual Reason Fred Armisen Has a Freddy Krueger Hand at the Emmys

The red carpet at the Emmys is a great place to rock unique accessories, but Fred Armisen took things surprisingly far. The star of IFC's Portlandia arrived to the ceremony sporting a claw hand, immediately recognizable to any horror fan as Freddy Krueger's weapon of choice. Why? Well, A Nightmare on Elm Street creator Wes Craven died at the end of August, so it may be an homage to the late, great filmmaker. On the other hand (pun intended), Armisen did start a charity for underprivileged children in need of Freddy Krueger hands. He was joking — we think. Until we get a real explanation (if ever), here are all the pictures.
