Elizabeth Olsen Confirms WandaVision Isn't Getting a Season 2, but There Is Good News

WandaVision premiered on Disney+ on Jan. 15, and we were instantly hooked. The episodes are packed with just the right amount of nostalgia and mystery as Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) live out a real-life sitcom in the seemingly perfect town of Westview. Following the wild finale, we were curious to know if the series would have a second season, but unfortunately, it seems like that isn't the case.

During a chat with Kaley Cuoco for Variety's Actors on Actors video series, Olsen confirmed that the show won't have a second season. "It's definitely a limited series," she said. The good news is that this isn't the last we'll see of Wanda. The series is meant to lead straight to the upcoming MCU film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which will star Olsen as Wanda. However, with Marvel, nothing is ever set in stone, as she added, "I mean, I'm saying that. I don't know. I mean, with Marvel, you can never say no."

While we likely won't get a follow-up of WandaVison, there are still plenty of new Marvel series to look forward to, including the recently released Loki, which is already in talks for a second season. As Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige pointed out, "The fun of the MCU is obviously all the crossover we can do between series, between films. So it will vary based on the story. Sometimes it will go into a season 2, sometimes it will go into a feature and back into a series."
