You'll Be Horrified at What This 5-Year-Old Boy Found in a Starbucks Bathroom

A mother in Lancaster, CA, didn't just leave her local Starbucks with a coffee last week. Instead, she left with a shocking discovery: that a hidden cell phone camera was recording video underneath a sink in a single-occupancy bathroom.

Her 5-year-old son — the perfect height to spot the barely noticeable camera lens, which was meticulously propped in place with a roll of paper towels — was the one who discovered it.

"I noticed he was staring at the sink a little bit perplexed," the woman, who preferred to remain anonymous, told KTLA. "I asked him what was wrong and he said, 'Mommy, why is there a phone under there?'"

She didn't touch the phone but notified employees who contacted authorities.

"The deputies discovered that the cell phone was running in a video-recording motion," said Lt. Joseph Fender with the Lancaster Sheriff's Station. "They were able to get some type of surveillance video from the location, however I don't know what the contents of the video are at this time."

It's as of yet unclear where the video was being sent or how long it had been recording.

"It's such a violation of privacy," the victim said. "Not only of mine, but my son."
