Holy Cuteness! This Mom Made Her Toddler a Porcupine Costume For Less Than $5

Danielle Bevens is no stranger to DIYing her two boys' multiple Halloween costumes every year (yes, multiple), but with her first costume of 2018, a perfect little prickly porcupine, she's possibly outdone herself in the cuteness department. The mom, who shares costume photos of her boys, Noah and Toby, under the hashtag #noahandtobyplaydressup, has made several winners, including an adorable Price Is Right contestant getup and Dobby from Harry Potter, all from scratch and, typically, all for less than $5.

"Every October I do a month of DIY costumes," Danielle told POPSUGAR. "I really wanted to start off with a bang this year! I honestly love being creative so dressing up my kids is so fun for me! To make Toby's porcupine I used poster paper that I cut into spikes and painted brown. I hot-glued them to a brown pillowcase and then safety pinned the pillowcase to the back of a brown onesie just so he could move around and be comfortable, then I used a snow mask and some extra spikes to make his little hat. So cute and so much fun to make!"
