Disneyland Tickets Rise in Price as the Park Prepares For the Opening of the Avengers Campus

Start saving those pennies: a trip to Disneyland is about to cost more in 2020. Some single- and multiday tickets as well as all annual pass prices have been raised, effective today. The price surge comes ahead of the grand opening of the Marvel-themed Avengers Campus, which is set to open in California this Summer.

The new price increase reflects a three to five percent change for the top-tier daily admission tickets as well as park hopper passes. In light of these new prices changes, the park has altered the ticket system from the original three-tiered ticket plan with the value, regular, and peak prices to a new five-tiered system. Tier 1 pricing will be put in place on the slowest days of the year while Tier 5 pricing will be reflected on the busiest days. The lowest one-day one-park adult ticket will still be $104, while the price of the Tier 5 ticket will go from $149 to $154. The tier pricing for an adult one-day park hopper ticket is now $159 for Tier 1 and $209 for Tier 5, with tiers 2 through 3 being priced anywhere between $169 and $194. This new system is Disney's way of broadening visitorship in hopes that guests will be inclined to come during all times of the year.

"We continue to provide our guests with a variety of ticket offerings to meet their needs, while helping us to spread visitation, better manage demand and deliver a great experience," notes Liz Jaeger, Disneyland Resort spokesperson.
