Drew Barrymore's Healthy Prescription For Dealing With Postpartum Body Image Issues

Regardless of whether you view your postpartum body as a badge of honor or as a temporary phase, feeling positive about your body image can take some time. So hearing that Drew Barrymore, mom to Olive, 2, and Frankie, 11 months, has experienced the same self-doubt is refreshing. In an interview with Glamour, Barrymore likens having a baby to feeling like a kangaroo. She said:

"After making two babies, holy cow, does your body do some crazy stuff! It's hard to stay positive and love yourself. You feel like a kangaroo with a giant pouch; everything's saggy and weird. But you think about how beautiful it is that you're able to make children. When I lose sight of that, I exercise, read Dr. Seuss's Oh, the Places You'll Go!, and spend time with my kids. Then I start to see things that are bigger than myself."

Sounds like a prescription we could all use!
