This Boy's Wheelchair Is Going to Make Game of Thrones Fans Freak Out on Halloween

When it comes to making Halloween costumes for his son, Tommy, there's no denying Tom Hardy goes all out. And it's safe to say the dad is up for the challenge when it comes to transforming his son's wheelchair into something truly magical. This year's ensemble? Viserion the white walker dragon from the family's favorite show Game of Thrones.

"Seeing the dragon and then trying to figure out how we could actually get a wheelchair dragon was really a fun challenge," Hardy said in an interview with Action News Jax. And with wings that flap and eyes that glow, there's no doubt this dad took the costume up a notch.

Tommy, who has autism and cerebral palsy, loves the massive amounts of attention he gets on Halloween night. "But when he's in the neighborhood, he loves that all eyes are on him and all the kids are smiling, like, 'That's awesome!' giving him high fives. It's great for him. I think he loves the positive attention, not the attention of a child in a wheelchair," explained Hardy.

The costume took about 50 hours to make and cost $75 — and according to Hardy, it was totally worth it. "We're definitely happy with the way it turned out, the details and everything," he said.
