Kids Reacting to Adults Dropping Their Wallets Will Turn You Into Mush

What would you do if you noticed that a stranger dropped their wallet and didn't realize it? We'd like to think you'd pick it up and return it to its rightful owner, but we all know that's not always the case. Unless, that is, you are an adorable child.

The Japanese Red Cross recorded kids — asked by their parents to wait a few minutes at a bus stop next to a group of strangers — to see what would happen when faced with that same situation. The results are as good as you'd hope, from one little girl who dusted off the wallet before returning it to a boy who, in the rush of being a good samaritan, dropped it midhandoff. Perhaps our favorite, though, is the boy, who (at the 1:13 mark) tried to hand back the wallet, but when he couldn't get the stranger's attention, set the wallet back on the ground and then tried again.
