This Mom Wasn't Going to Post a Bikini Photo to Social Media — Until She Realized 1 Thing

Australian mama Olivia White had a serious parenting revelation that so many others can learn from: making memories with your kids is way more important than stressing over how "imperfect" your body may look on social media. The mother of two described how much she grappled with posting a picture of her and her little girl on the beach to Instagram because she was insecure with how she looked at first pass. And frankly, pretty much anyone with an Instagram account can relate.

"I didn't post this photo while we were away because I hated how my stomach looked. As much as I try to be self-confident and positive about my appearance, it's not just a switch and one day you're completely 110 percent okay with yourself. It's a daily thing, and you have good and bad days," she wrote in the caption.

Although pretty much everyone struggles with loving the skin they're in from time to time, Olivia decided that she wasn't going to let the thoughts in her head stand in the way of sharing memories with her daughter. "But you can't stop, especially when you have little eyes watching you. You just need to keep reminding yourself everyday that you're amazing no matter what anyone else or your own brain tries to trick you into thinking. This is a beautiful moment between my daughter and I, a memory I want to treasure forever and nothing can ruin that."
