It Doesn't Surprise Us at All That This Mom Kicks Butt at Her Job With 2 Kids Strapped to Her Body

Last week, a 35-weeks-pregnant mom strapped her 3-year-old daughter to her back when her sitter canceled and she had a job to do. The photo of the doctor — who worked the sidelines of a local high school football game — went viral, and today, a similar image is drawing attention. This time, it's of a mom with two kids strapped to her body while she too works at a school sporting event, snapping photos of an area football game.

Yep, the Dallas Morning News shared the impressive image of multitasking mom Melissa Wardlow, who can be seen talking with her 3-year-old son, Jordan, on her back while carrying her 8-month-old baby girl, Addison, on her front, all while holding a very heavy, very expensive camera . . . and a bottle of milk . . . and a water bottle.

What the average person might conclude from these two powerful images of moms "doing it all" is that they are truly awe-inspiring, one-of-a-kind women, which is certainly true. But ask any lady with kids what she sees in those two snapshots, and she'll simply say, "Oh, that's a mom." In fact, what is perhaps most interesting is that in the past week, these are the only two photos you've seen of women doing their jobs with one hand while raising a child with the other. It actually happens all over the world, every hour of every day.

So let's commend both Melissa and Dr. Megan Meier for showing the world what working moms — and all moms, rather — do all the time. It's just that in those instances no one happened to take a picture of it.
