Hold Up — This New Clothing Line For Nursing Moms Is Actually So Stylish

Marlena Wilding is about to change the way new and expectant moms dress. An artist and mother herself, Marlena is the founder of La Mere Clothing, which makes clothes specifically for pregnancy, nursing, and beyond. And these aren't any ol' frumpy sweaters and baggy shirts — La Mere's pieces are actually stylish!

Each sweatshirt, tee, and dress is made with stretchy materials to last you through every stage of pregnancy, and the pieces feature invisible zippers for easy breastfeeding access. On top of that, all of La Mere's clothes are beyond affordable — because we all know how expensive it is to have a baby!

La Mere was born from Marlena's desire to make the breastfeeding process easier on new mamas. "There are many women who choose not to breastfeed simply because we live in a society that doesn't make it easy to do," she explained on the company's website. "With the creation of this clothing line we can help take mothers one step closer to giving their child the gold nectar; one step closer to celebrating our beautiful changing bodies."

Although La Mere originally had a Kickstarter campaign to help with production, it didn't reach its fundraising goal in the allotted time, unfortunately. But on the bright side, Marlena received funds from outside of the crowdfunding campaign, and all items on her site are now available for preorder.
