This is a fun project for kids just beginning to learn about shapes — and those figuring out patterns. Vibrant squares of tissue paper make for a simple and colorful project that really has no rules. Layer on stacks of squares, repeat a pattern of color, or use for creating a design. The creative ideas are endless!
What You'll Need:
- Canvas
- Tissue paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- Small container
- Water
- Foam brush
Directions:
- Precut the tissue paper into small squares, then prep by mixing equal parts water and glue in a small container.
- Invite your child to start placing squares of tissue on the canvas then painting over with the foam brush.
- Continue placing and gluing until the entire canvas is covered. Once it's dry, hang on a wall with your child's other artwork.
