We know that any day can turn into a messy day. That's why we partnered with OxiClean™ for this post.

This is a fun project for kids just beginning to learn about shapes — and those figuring out patterns. Vibrant squares of tissue paper make for a simple and colorful project that really has no rules. Layer on stacks of squares, repeat a pattern of color, or use for creating a design. The creative ideas are endless!

What You'll Need:

  • Canvas
  • Tissue paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Small container
  • Water
  • Foam brush

Directions:

  1. Precut the tissue paper into small squares, then prep by mixing equal parts water and glue in a small container.
  2. Invite your child to start placing squares of tissue on the canvas then painting over with the foam brush.

  1. Continue placing and gluing until the entire canvas is covered. Once it's dry, hang on a wall with your child's other artwork.
