Dad's Video of Toddler's Reaction to Mom Coming Home Reminds Us Why It's All Worth It

When I was a kid, I used to sit by the window while doing my homework, eagerly waiting for my mom's car to pull into the driveway after a day at work. I don't remember much about my toddler years, but based on a video of a little girl's adorable reaction to her mom coming home from work, I can only imagine that my excitement to see her was even more palpable back then than what I can remember of my elementary school years.

Caught on video by her dad, who goes by RoadWarrior_lvl29 on Reddit, the toddler's squeals for "mama" are sure to melt your heart, but more than that, it might just serve you a dose of that sometimes fleeting feeling that this whole chaotic parenting thing is totally worth it.

"My daughter always gets super excited when my wife gets home from work," the dad wrote. "Today, I finally got it on video." In the clip, the dad's mother-in-law is holding the girl steady on the counter, where she's seen stomping her feet in excitement, eyes wide and arms reaching out. She's finally put down on the floor and runs as fast as her little legs will take her to where her mom is putting down her things. "She totally did not do that when I got home," Dad can be heard saying behind the camera.

Sometimes you just need Mom, ya know?
