Emma Thompson is ready to clue everyone in on the secret language of moms. The 60-year-old actress (and mother of two daughters) hosted Saturday Night Live's Mother Day's show on May 11 and teamed up with former cast members Tina Fey and Amy Poehler to deliver her monologue — and a "little language lesson."

In the monologue, Emma, Tina, and Amy walk through exactly what a mom means when she makes general statements like "You look tired" or "I don't have a favorite child." Mmm hmm . . . the jig is up, we know what you really mean, Mom. On the flip side, when a mom says "You're driving me crazy" or "Why do you have to be so stubborn?" she really means "I love you." But you probably don't need a translator to figure that one out — moms make it pretty clear.
