Jessica Simpson Gets Real About Her 100-Pound Postbaby Weight Loss: "I Chose to Work Harder"

After giving birth to her daughter, Birdie Mae, Jessica Simpson put a lot of hard work and effort into her fitness journey. The 39-year-old mom of three recently shared an Instagram post celebrating her 100-pound postpartum weight loss, which came with the help of her trainer Harley Pasternak.

"6 months. 100 pounds down (Yes, I tipped the scales at 240 😜)" Jessica wrote in her caption. "My first trip away from #BIRDIEMAE and emotional for many reasons, but so proud to feel like myself again. Even when it felt impossible, I chose to work harder."

Jessica's post is a refreshing look at the emotional and physical changes a mother goes through postbaby. Yes, sometimes it will feel impossible. Yes, it will take determintation and perserverance. Yes, she should be proud no matter what the number on the scale says.

Harley, Jessica's trainer, also commended her efforts with his own post. "Beyond proud of this incredible woman," he shared. "And on top of it all, after being nonstop pregnant for as long as I can remember, she's down 100 pounds and looks younger today than she was when we met."
