Kellogg's Is Bringing Back a New Version of Its Spongebob Cereal, and Yes, There Are Marshmallows!

I'm ready, I'm ready, I'm ready! In honor of the new movie coming out this May, Kellogg's is bringing back a popular cereal from the early 2000s starring everyone's favorite Bikini Bottom resident, Spongebob Squarepants! "Coming soon" according to The Junk Food Aisle, Kellogg's Spongebob Squarepants Cereal will feature vanilla square cereal pieces (previously shaped like jellyfish) and marshmallows in the shapes of Spongebob, Patrick, and the pineapple house under the sea.

The cereal was originally debuted as part of a promotion for 2004's The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, so it's only fair that it be rereleased to celebrate everyone's favorite sponge's first movie in five years, The Spongebob Movie: Sponge on the Run. Although there's no word yet on an official release date for the cereal, our high nostalgia level is preparing us to love this cereal as much as Spongebob loves Kelpo whenever it does hit grocery store shelves.
