A 4th-Grader Offered to Walk His Neighbor's Puppy "After This Virus," and My Heart!

I think I speak for all animal-lovers when I say that as soon as a new dog graces the neighborhood, I notice right away. And apparently, the same thing goes for Troy, who's currently in the fourth grade. In a sweet photo that's making its rounds on Reddit, Troy penned a handwritten note to his neighbors, who happen to have an adorable golden retriever puppy named Arthur.

The heartwarming letter reads: "Hello neighbors my name is Troy and I'm in 4th grade and I'm just wondering if maybe after this virus you need a dog sitter and if so I can take your dog on walks." The varying marker colors are a nice touch, right?

According to Arthur's Instagram account, the pup is just as excited to make a new friend. "I made friends with a small hooman today," the caption said. "He's like basically me-sized. I bet I can get him to give me more treats than my hoomans." Fingers crossed Troy's dream comes true once it's safe to stop practicing social distancing!
