Mom Poses the Perfect Question After Being Shamed For Breastfeeding in Public
Whitney Hope did what most moms would do if their baby got fussy and hungry while on a shopping trip: she found a spot and nursed her child. And although she tried to be as discreet as she could while breastfeeding her daughter, the employees at a local Dillard's department store didn't necessarily approve.
She revealed how she began to nurse her baby and was approached by an employee who told her she "couldn't do that here." Whitney was given directions to the bathroom where she could better feed her child.
She didn't leave the store without filing a complaint with management, but ironically on her way out she noticed a large advertisement for bras showcased on the breasts of a headless body.
She posed the question in her Facebook post: "Why is it acceptable for a giant picture of boobs to be on the wall but I can not feed my child?"
