If You're Obsessed With The Office, You'll Get a Kick Out of This Couple's Gender Reveal Party

Tiffany Bailey

Tiffany and Kevin Bailey are huge fans of The Office — so huge, in fact, that the NBC sitcom has played a role in some of their most significant relationship milestones. When Tiffany found out she was pregnant after trying to conceive for nearly 10 years, she shared the news with her husband by texting him a Jim Halpert reference. "It was such a shock and I couldn't wait to tell Kevin, so I didn't have time to come up with something elaborate," Tiffany told POPSUGAR via email. "When he got home from work, I sent him a GIF of Jim saying 'send in the subs,' like when they found out Pam was pregnant."

The following Father's Day, Tiffany continued with the Office theme by giving Kevin a "Regional Manager" t-shirt and adorable matching "Assistant to the Regional Manager" onesie for their future child. So when it came time for the expectant parents to plan their gender reveal party, they knew they wanted to garner inspiration from Dunder Mifflin's finest employees to throw a Michael Scott-approved shindig.

With a little help from Tiffany's cousin who first introduced them to the show, Tiffany and Kevin planned a Dundie-worthy party to announce the coming of their baby girl, whom they named Stella. Keep reading to take a look at all the funny details they featured in the celebration. Although beets weren't on the menu, they totally nailed the food selection!

They decked out their cabinets with a simple sign that read "It Is Your Baby" (no exclamation, just a period, of course) as a nod to that time Dwight decorated the Dunder Mifflin meeting room for Kelly Kapoor's birthday. Oh, and they also half-inflated a few balloons, though theirs were thankfully a bit more colorful than Dwight's brown and gray balloons. Do they deserve a spot on the Party Planning Committee, or what?!

It may be hard to identify what this photo even is, but I'll give you a hint: it pertains to possibly one of Jim's most famous pranks on Dwight. Yep, it's Jell-O — but more specifically, a "World's Best Boss" mug submerged in Jell-O, as an ode to Michael's favorite drinking vessel. The gelatinous dessert was intended to be pink to clue guests in on their baby's gender, although it ended up turning out a bit more red.

This may look like a basic spread of snacks, but each one is actually a hysterical reference to The Office. The cheese balls serve as a flashback to that time Michael, Pam Beesly, and Ryan Howard have a contest to see who can shove the most cheese balls in their mouth while employees of the Michael Scott Paper Company. Meanwhile, the bowlful of pretzels are a reference to Stanley and Michael's favorite holiday of the year, Pretzel Day. (Let's hope their guests didn't have to wait in too long of a line to snag one!) Those M&M's? They're a nod to the jar of M&M's Kevin Malone keeps on his desk. And last but certainly not least, the pan of brownies pay homage to Angela Kinsey's famous double-fudge brownies. What a spread!

Remember that time Michael crashes the Party Planning Committee's meeting to suggest they purchase Baskin-Robbins mint chocolate chip ice cream cake for Meredith Palmer's birthday celebration — despite the fact that Meredith's allergic to dairy? Tiffany and Kevin chose the same exact cake flavor for their gender reveal party — with blue and pink decorations added, of course.

Cubed watermelon may seem like a random snack choice at first, but please allow us to remind you of the fourth episode in The Office's fifth season, titled "Baby Shower." During this episode, Michael is preparing for the birth of Jan Levinson's baby by — what else? — making Dwight pretend he's pregnant with a watermelon. Thankfully, Kevin and Tiffany didn't mark their watermelon with Sharpie like Dwight instructed Michael to in order to avoid "baby snatchers."

Tiffany wore a Dunder Mifflin baseball tee, while Kevin wore the Regional Manager shirt his wife got him for Father's Day. They posed with their teeny-tiny Assistant to the Regional Manager onesie, beyond excited to welcome their baby girl, Stella.

Tiffany shared this updated photo of Stella, now 4 months old, rocking her Assistant to the Regional Manager onesie. "I'm sure Stella will watch [The Office] when she's older. Hopefully she has our sense of humor!" Tiffany said. Our fingers are crossed that she ends up loving the series as much as her parents do.
