This $800, 7,541-Piece Millennium Falcon Lego Set Would Probably Take Our Kids 20 Years to Build

If you thought Lego's previous Millennium Falcon set — which debuted in 2007 with 5,195 pieces and was dubbed the "ultimate collector's edition" — was as impressive as it got for Star Wars fans, let Yoda set you straight: "No . . . there is another."

Back in September, on Force Friday, Lego announced a world-record-breaking update: a new Millennium Falcon Lego set that consists of 7,541 teeny tiny bricks. It's now the largest set in Lego history, trouncing the Lego Taj Mahal, which has 1,619 fewer pieces.

If the sheer volume of pieces (and thus, the daunting number of hours it'd take to complete) doesn't give you pause, perhaps the price tag will. This updated Millennium Falcon will set any collector back $800.
