Tamron Hall on Keeping Her Pregnancy Under Wraps: "I Was Terrified I Would Lose This Baby"

Tamron Hall has been pretty transparent about her pregnancy journey since before she welcomed her baby boy back in April. But in an interview with People, the new mom opened up about how the fear of losing her baby ultimately led to her staying quiet about her pregnancy until just over a month before giving birth.

"I was high-risk, not just because of my age, but there were other medical factors too," Hall said. The former Today host announced via Instagram back in March that she was expecting her first child at 48. She was 32 weeks along at the time and revealed in a follow-up post that her decision to wait had a lot to do with wanting to wait until she was in a "safe place" to share the good news.

"My doctor said, 'This is your body, your health. You share of your journey what you want to share,'" she recalled. "I was terrified I would lose this baby and I would have to go back and tell everyone that now it was bad news, and after this pregnancy had gone so far."

Hall continued, "I just wasn't mentally prepared to deal with that. That's why I waited. And trust me — if I could've gone the whole way to delivery, I would've." Thankfully, the wait ended up being worth it in the end, as Hall and her husband Steven Greener welcomed their baby boy, Moses, one month later on April 25.
