Though Kate and Meghan have both mastered the art of dressing appropriately for every occasion, in general the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex have personal styles that differ quite noticeably from each other. However, they found some fashion middle ground recently when they stepped out in near-identical outfits within days of each other. Kate was first, when she wore a long-sleeved, polka-dot shirtdress from Whistles for a reception at Kensington Palace. Then, 9,500 miles away on her royal tour in Australia, Meghan was spotted in an eerily similar dress: the only real difference was that her & Other Stories style had short sleeves, perfect for the warm weather in Queensland.

Though Meghan wasn't widely photographed in her dress, which she wore on arrival at Hervey Bay but quickly swapped out for a breezy Reformation number, one local tour company was perfectly placed to snap a well-timed photo of the duchess unintentionally twinning with her sister-in-law. Keep reading for a closer look at both dresses and to shop your own similar polka-dot dress for the ultimate "double duchess" look.
