It's not uncommon for agents to scout out up-and-coming models, but this guy's story is truly unbelievable. Alex Parsons's life completely changed after winning a Hunk Hunt contest hosted by The Sun. The 23-year-old plumber beat out hundreds of other contestants in August 2015 to snag the male model honor and was signed with London agency Nevs as part of his prize.
"I didn't think it would turn into a career — I genuinely thought I'd be a one-hit wonder," he said to The Sun after winning the competition. "If I meet someone new, I just say I'm a plumber. I never introduce myself as a model. I can't bring myself around to using that yet."
Alex said his biggest supporters are not his parents, but his 73-year-old Italian grandma, who got a Facebook just to stay up to date with his photo shoots. And fortunately for Alex, his natural ease in front of the camera — not to mention his chiseled body — has booked him job after job. Read on to see the shots he's shared from his modeling journey on Instagram, and remember his face — we're sure Mr. Parsons will take on the official self-title of "model" in no time at all.
