J Lo Just Wore Every 2000s Trend at Once — Plus an Arm Tattoo

Jennifer Lopez is currently filming Ben Affleck's upcoming production "Unstoppable," and she was spotted on set in an outfit that's a clear nod to the early 2000s. The movie centers on American wrestler Anthony Robles, who was born with one leg and won the 2011 NCAA individual wrestling national championship. Purposefully reflective of the time period the film focuses on, Lopez's look consisted of a sleeveless purple blouse tied at the waist with a plunging neckline and subtle embroidery; flared jeans with a distressed hem; and perfectly on-point accessories, such as a braided rope bracelet and thong flip-flops. Her long brown hair was swept to the side and brushed with highlights, and, most notably, she flaunted a fake arm tattoo that's not unlike Affleck's own collection (coincidentally, the married couple recently got matching infinity tattoos in real life).

While we could easily picture Lopez's costume on the likes of "The O.C."'s Marissa Cooper, the 53-year-old actress pulls it off with ease — especially given her natural penchant for tapping into nostalgic trends, such as low-rise jeans, skorts, and ripped sweatpants. It's likely that Lopez had influence in deciding her character's wardrobe for "Unstoppable," especially since Affleck credits his wife with offering great input on his scripts. "She is incredibly knowledgeable about the way fashion evolves through the culture as a confluence of music, sports, entertainment and dance," he told The Hollywood Reporter in March, in reference to his movie "Air." Lopez also credits Affleck with giving her fashion advice on the red carpet, so it seems the topic of clothing — both on and offscreen — is certainly meaningful to the duo, who recently wore matching outfits while on a walk in Santa Monica, CA.
