Is It Better to Eat a Low-Carb or Low-Fat Diet?

Which Is Better For Fat Loss: a Low-Carb or Low-Fat Diet?

If you're looking to tweak your diet to support your fat-loss goal and you're unsure whether to cut more carbs or more fats, the answer is pretty simple: it doesn't really matter. They're of course different in their own right, but at the end of the day, they're both calories. Personal trainer and online nutrition coach Chad Hargrove shared a photo on Instagram explaining why you shouldn't worry too much about deciding between one or the other.

"Whether you work better on lower carbs, or lower fats, or calories spread equally across both has more to do with your preferences and likely your biology," he wrote in his caption.

However, he also added how you shouldn't reduce your intake of quality fats and fruits and veggies, as they're an important part of your diet. So, unless you have a health issue like diabetes, you should be focusing on your total calories and protein — not the small details.
