This Guy Walked From Mexico to Canada, and His Transformation Is Incredible

This is one of the most epic before-and-after transformations we've seen yet. Ian Crombie completed the incredible feat of walking from Mexico to Canada on the Pacific Crest Trail — 2,668 miles, to be exact. "My upper body strength went to my legs. I've got massive ham hocs now. It was hard keeping weight on. I walked 25-30 miles a day and tried to eat 5,000-6,000 calories a day," the man said in a comment-filled Reddit thread about his journey. In total, Ian speculates that he lost 20-30 pounds over the course of almost six months along the trial.

The reason for the months-long hike? The desire to leave day-to-day life for a while and reap the therapeutic benefits of nature. "I'm not running away from anything. But if I've learned anything so far, it's that you don't need a reason to get up and leave, you just have to put it on the calendar," Ian explained.
