If You're Vegan or Gluten-Free, Don't Miss Out This Halloween! Make These 4-Ingredient Butterfingers

Every Halloween as a vegan, I want to scream, "boo!" And not the scary Halloween "boo!" — I mean the really sad "boo," because most of the candy is made with milk. It's hard to get super excited about Skittles or Sour Patch Kids. I do like to make my own version of dairy-free Reese's, but I haven't had a crispy, crunchy, peanut-buttery Butterfinger in years — until now. Danielle Brown, known as @healthygirlkitchen on TikTok, shared this quick and super-easy vegan recipe that's also gluten-free. As an added bonus, these are softer than the original, so you don't have to worry about them hurting your teeth!

This recipe is made with just four basic ingredients: cornflakes, peanut butter, maple syrup, and chocolate. For the melted-chocolate coating, Brown told POPSUGAR she likes to use Enjoy Life chocolate chips or the ones from Trader Joe's (they're vegan!). And if you're truly gluten-free, go for the Nature's Path Fruit Juice Corn Flakes. If you don't have cornflakes, to change up the crispy factor, she suggested trying Rice Krispies or pretzels. And if you're not a peanut-butter fan, Brown said to try almond, cashew, or sunflower-seed butter. Look at all these options! Check out her Instagram post to see the recipe written out.
