The CDC recently released guidelines for people to follow once they've received the COVID-19 vaccine, and Jimmy Fallon shared this "Fact vs. Fiction" segment on The Tonight Show on March 11 to clear up any possible confusion. After all, isn't he the most reputable source for all your COVID news? If we can't trust Jimmy, whom can we trust?

He happily shared the fact that vaccinated grandparents are psyched that they can finally visit with their grandkids. But unfortunately it's not true that this means parents can leave the kids with the grandparents for a "makeup year." I'm doing it anyway, though. See ya, kids! I have a year of free babysitting to cash in.

You'll also still need to wear masks in public places and in most stores. But no, if you let your facial hair go a little and grew a "quarantine goatee," you won't need to wear a mask indefinitely to cover it up. We can relate to letting ourselves go a little. It's all good.

And while it's a fact that so far only about nine percent of the population are fully vaccinated, it's fiction that they spend 95 percent of their day talking about it. It just seems that way!

While coming to a place where we can joke about the vaccine can offer our mental health the boost many of us desperately need, it's still important to follow the CDC's guidelines after you've been vaccinated or if you're unvaccinated and visiting with vaccinated people. Keep in mind that vaccinated people still need to wear a mask in public, should avoid medium- and large-size gatherings, and should get tested if they are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms. And as more and more people get vaccinated, it's hopeful to know that the guidelines may change and be broadly lifted, so hang in there.
