Ben & Jerry's Dropped 3 New Nondairy, Nut-Free Flavors, and I'm Losing My Chill

Ben & Jerry's

I don't want to assume Ben & Jerry's created its new dairy-free ice cream flavors especially for my household, but it sure feels that way. On Jan. 28, the beloved dessert brand released three flavors — "Milk" & Cookies, Crème Brûlée Cookie, and Mint Chocolate Cookie — all made with sunflower butter. With my lactose intolerance and my husband's nut allergy, these pints have made their way to the top of our grocery list.

Ben & Jerry's is the first national brand to use sunflower butter in its nondairy desserts, instead of the usual coconut milk, almond milk, or oat milk. If you're familiar with the brand's selection of dairy-free ice creams already, then you know they're equally as creamy as its cow-milk offerings. You don't have to have an intolerance, an allergy, or a desire to eat vegan to enjoy a carton (or two!). Hear the freezer calling your name? You can find these newest pints for around $6 at your local Scoop Shop or wherever Ben & Jerry's is sold. Keep reading for a breakdown of what to expect from each flavor.
