There are two things I crave on a consistent basis and am usually out of on a consistent basis: peanut butter and chocolate. If I had a dollar for every time I was craving a peanut butter cup but didn't have any peanut butter cups, I'd have enough money to buy enough peanut butter cups to last me a lifetime. With this recipe, I can finally stop secretly stealing my roommate's stash of chocolate chips, and I won't have to go to Trader Joe's when I'm thinking about those dark chocolate cups. Grab your favorite mug (which may arguably be the best part about this recipe; it's in a mug!), and put two tablespoons of peanut butter in. Microwave for 15 seconds, then add one tablespoon of powdered sugar. Stir until it covers the bottom of the mug. Add two tablespoons of chocolate chips. (White chocolate! Dark chocolate! Milk chocolate! The possibilities are endless!) Microwave for 90 seconds, then spread the chocolate evenly over the peanut butter.
Arguably the hardest part of this recipe: test your patience and freeze for 15 minutes. Once hardened, take a spoonful and enjoy!
