When people around the office found out we would be conducting another Dunkin' Donuts taste test, everyone was thrilled. Expectations were high after we tasted the delicious Pumpkin Munchkins a few months ago. With chatter about how good those doughnuts were, we embarked on a new adventure trying Dunkin's new holiday offerings, the Candy Cane Crunch Donut, the Boston Kreme Croissant Donut, Crème Brulee coffee, and Dunkin's new line of premium teas. These new flavors will be in your local Dunkin' Donuts on Nov. 1 and join the returning Peppermint Mocha and Salted Caramel Coffee that launched last month. Nearly 40 POPSUGAR employees participated in this taste test, so read on to find out which treats you should order on your next coffee run.

Crème Brulee Coffee

The reviews on this new flavor are divided. The coffee has a rich and creamy texture with a caramelized sugar flavor that some tasters found too intense. Here's what some participants had to say:

  • "Tastes like a great creamer but waaaay too sweet as a stand-alone coffee."
  • "Tastes like a milkshake!"
  • "Great for people who hate coffee. If you love sweet coffee, this is perfect."
  • "The coffee is too sweet; it made it hard to drink an entire cup of it."
  • "Would be good as a dessert after a Winter activity."
  • "Too sweet! Like a sugar shot to the face!"

Boston Kreme Croissant Donut

My co-workers devoured these croissant doughnuts quickly. The glazed croissant doughnut is filled with bavarian cream and topped with a drizzle of chocolate icing. Here's what the POPSUGAR team had to say about the tasty treats:

  • "Flaky, creamy, and delicious."
  • "I already love Boston creme doughnuts, but the flakiness of the croissant makes it even better."
  • "Loved this doughnut! I could eat the middle all the time!"
  • "Not sure if I could eat the whole thing, but the cream was amazing."
  • "Delicious, but I had to squeeze out some of the filling because it was overwhelming."
  • "Tasty, a little dense, and could use more chocolate coating."

Candy Cane Crunch Donut

The Candy Cane Crunch Donut got some serious side-eye when our taste testers first saw it. My co-workers seemed skeptical about a peppermint-flavored confection. The yeast doughnut has a vanilla buttercream filling and is topped with vanilla icing and a generous amount of crushed candy cane. Reviews are mixed:

  • "I like it, but there is too much of the candy bits on top."
  • "This has a strange texture, and I think the candy is soggy instead of crunchy."
  • "Peppermint should be left to hard candy and toothpaste."
  • "I don't hate it, but I don't really want to eat it either. It should've been a chocolate doughnut with peppermint instead."
  • "Yuck! Nauseatingly sweet and plastic-tasting."

Overall, everyone at our office who tried these teas enjoyed them. They come in five flavors: Bold Breakfast Black Tea, Harmony Leaf Green Tea, Chamomile Fields Herbal Infusion, Hibiscus Kiss Herbal Infusion, and Cool Mint Herbal Infusion. Our reviewers reached for the Hibiscus Kiss the most. Commenters offered mostly positive notes on the drinks:

  • "It's delicious!"
  • "Very potent."
  • "It has a strong, sweet flavor."
