The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando has not one but six butterbeers to try across the parks. You may be familiar with the beverage line (cold, frozen, and hot), but there are also three butterbeer treats: fudge, ice cream, and potted cream. These butterbeer treats are on the expensive side, so what's worth trying? Here's the ranking from best to worst.

Butterbeer ($6)

Butterbeer ($6)

The original Butterbeer tastes exactly like a vanilla-flavored cream soda with a creamy top (not quite whipped cream) that adds a thick and frothy complement to the drink. This was the favorite of all the butterbeer items at the park, and we chugged it pretty swiftly while chowing down at the Leaky Cauldron.

02
Butterbeer Ice Cream ($6)

Butterbeer Ice Cream ($6)

The Butterbeer Ice Cream is a vanilla soft serve with a butterscotch-flavored swirl. It's American nostalgia at its finest. We found this to be the best butterbeer-flavored treat in the park.

03
Hot Butterbeer ($6)

Hot Butterbeer ($6)

This seasonal beverage only comes out during cooler months of the year, and we ordered ours at dusk to keep warm. It's on the supersweet side, like a hot white chocolate. We enjoyed this beverage most when it came out piping hot, but as it cooled down, it basically tasted like syrup. Not good! Slurp it quickly. On my next visit, I may pack a Starbucks Via packet of instant coffee to stir into the drink and transform it into a butterbeer latte.

04
Frozen Butterbeer ($7)

Frozen Butterbeer ($7)

This Frozen Butterbeer has a remarkable ability to remain frozen to the last drop. The texture is similar to that of an Icee in that it's simultaneously frozen and carbonated. My group of taste testers found the drink to be too icy cold. It burned throats and teeth and gave us all a nasty spell of brain freeze. I recommend passing on this drink unless it's a smoldering day outside.

05
Butterbeer Potted Cream ($5)

Butterbeer Potted Cream ($5)

I describe this Butterbeer Potted Cream as Cool Whip with butterscotch sauce folded into it. The presentation is beautiful, and it's not terrible in taste, just not particularly memorable. Save the $5 for something at the Sugarplums Sweet Shop.

06
Butterbeer Fudge ($4)

Butterbeer Fudge ($4)

While the two layers (reminiscent of the Butterbeer and its foamy top) may captivate you, don't let it! This is basically just a brick of sugar. Sure, it tastes marginally like butterbeer, but there are plenty of other magical treats you'll want to sink your teeth into throughout the park.
