Thalia and UNICEF Just Joined Forces in the Best Way Possible

POPSUGAR Latina contributor Thalia has officially been named a UNICEF Mexico Ambassador. The Mexican-born "Desde Esa Noche" singer, who continues to be an inspiring advocate and ally for underprivileged children, was honored with the exciting role in the nation's capital city on July 8.

"We live in an unequal world where millions of children are suffering and dying unnecessarily," she said at the appointment ceremony. "UNICEF knows how to put the most vulnerable children first and we all can help, whether by donating to UNICEF, starting conversations with family and friends or educating those around us about how to address unfairness in the world."

It's impossible not to notice Thalia's passion for the organization. As a mom of two, she truly cares about children's rights, and we can't wait to see what mobilizing and life-changing efforts she's bound to start in her new position. In the meantime, take a scroll through Thalia's empowering 2016 bucket list.
