Though Charlie shared other pictures from that day, it's this particular post that really resonated with people online. Since it was shared on May 16, the tweet has amassed over 2,000 retweets and 8,000 "likes." In addition, people are embracing Charlie's vibrant prom dress pick. After one person praised the dress's colorful skirt, Charlie replied, "Thank you so much. I love my culture."

Following the picture's popularity, Charlie shared the same photos on Instagram and elaborated on the idea. Charlie wrote, "I'm overwhelmed with the positive responses I've gotten! I wore this dress because I wanted people to see how beautiful my culture is, and I think I achieved that." We couldn't agree more.
